Lois Southard Miller

September 24, 1924 — March 3, 2008

Boonville Mrs. Lois Southard Miller, age 83, of Hwy. 67 Boonville, passed away Monday, March 3, 2008 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Miller was born September 24, 1924 in Surry County to Arthur Patrick & Ethel Williamson Southard. Mrs. Miller was retired from Northwestern Bank and was a member of Boonville Methodist Church where she served on several church committees. She was also a member of Boonville Women's Club and she received numerous ribbons for her needle work. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Walter Miller, Jr. and a sister, Sybil Wagoner. Survivors include: two sons, James A. Miller and wife Ann of Pfafftown, Mark W. Miller and wife Earline of Deatsville, Alabama; three grandchildren, Katherine Teuschler and husband Michael, Ric Woods and wife Nikki, James Earl Miller her sister by love Bonnie Vestal. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Boonville Methodist Church by Rev. Marion Swann and Rev. Jennifer Wells Stewart. Burial will follow at Boonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Boonville Methodist Church, 116 N.
