Elkin Mr. Barry Clay East, age 41, of Marcus Tucker Road, passed away Friday, November 26, 2004 at his residence. Mr. East was born September 4, 1963 in Richmond County to Harvey Eugene & Mary Casstevens East. Mr. East was employed by Vaughn-Basset. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepfather, Bert Walker; three brothers, Larry East, Stephen East and James Walker; a sister, Allison Walker; a nephew, Stevie R. White; a grandfather, Rev. J.E. Casstevens; a great grandmother, Mary Ann Ashburn. Survivors include: two daughters, Miranda Bowman of Mulberry, Christian Roth of Ft. Lawn, South Carolina; a brother, Mike Bellamy of West Virginia; two sisters, Mary White and Peggy Cheek both of Jonesville; a grandson, Terry Lee Bowman; four nephews, Chris Casstevens, M.J. White, Marty Cheek and Mark Cheek; two nieces, Bridget Robbins and Faith White; a great nephew, Dalton Robbins; two great nieces, Taylor Casstevens and Micah Robbins. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 28, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Beulah Land Non-Denominational Church by Rev. Ralph Casstevens. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Elkin.
