Baton Rouge, LA Mrs. Kathleen Wade, age 88 of Justin Avenue, Baton Rouge, La., passed away Thursday, November 4, 2004 at Ollie Steel Burden Manor. Mrs. Wade was born February 19, 1916 in Yadkin County to William Franklin & Bessie Lee White Reece. Mrs. Wade was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L.I. Wade, Jr.; a sister, Hannah Lea; a brother, William F. Reece. Survivors include three sons, Luther I. Wade, III and wife, Marylan of Charlotte, John F. Wade and wife Alice of Columbia, Maryland, Richard D. Wade of New Orleans, La.; three daughters, Anne Wade of Baton Rouge, La., Billie Willey and husband John of Charlotte, Rebecca Walker of Houston, TX; six grandchildren, two step grandchildren, four great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Monday, November 8, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. at Hollywood Cemetery by Dr. Luther Wade, PhD. Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin is serving the Wade family.
