Yadkinville Mr. Robert Craig Stewart, age 42, of W. Main Street, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Stewart was born October 3, 1965 in Gaston County to Junior Elmer & Jeanette Watonia Mitchell Stewart. Mr. Stewart was employed at Chatham Manufacturing and was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a half sister, Sharon Stewart. Survivors include: two daughters, Megan Stewart and Lakyn Stewart both of Jonesville; his mother, Jeanette S. Brown of Elkin; three brothers, Richard Brown and wife Robin of Winston-Salem, Aaron Stewart and wife Mandy of Spartanburg, SC, Randy Stewart of Lowgap; four sisters, Renee Williams of Yadkinville, Denise Stewart and husband David Smith of State Road, Carla Lawson and husband Wayne of Lowgap, Cheryl Stewart of Roanoke, VA; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Welcome Home Baptist Church by Rev. Evan Bass. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Stewart will lie instate 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin and at other times at the home of Denise Stewart 468 Ambrose Creek Road, State Road, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Alpha Acres, PO Box 212, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
