Jonesville Mrs. Pansy Money Finney, age 96, of Bryant Street, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2007 at Hugh Chatham Nursing Center. Mrs. Finney was born March 22, 1911 in Wilkes County to Willie B. & Ada Laster Money. Mrs. Finney was a member of Little Elkin Baptist Church and was retired from Chatham Manufacturing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Lee Finney; four brothers, Harvey Money, Parks Money, Howard Money, Willie Money, Jr.; a sister, Alice Hammer. Survivors include: a son, Jonathan Leo Finney and wife Lou of Jonesville; two daughters, Evelyn Finney Lyons of Jonesville, Juanita Blackburn and husband Steve of Elkin; a brother, Arlen Money of Elkin; two sisters, Bretta Luffman and Hallie Luffman both of Elkin; six grandchildren, Jan Long and husband Scott, Jeff Finney and wife Bonita, Joni Macemore and husband Gordon, Crissy Sidden and husband Glen, Tracey Long and husband Webster, Greg Blackburn and wife Dedie; nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 16, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Little Elkin Baptist Church by Rev. Gwyn Anderson, Rev. Greg Blackburn. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Finney will lie instate 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
