Jonesville Mrs. Nellie Elois Wood, age 95, of N. Park Drive, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at Elkin HealthCare. Mrs. Wood was born February 20, 1911 in Surry County to H.M. "Dock" & Cornelia Brown Holbrook. Mrs. Wood was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesville and was retired from Chatham Manufacturing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Wood; a son, Creston Mason; four brothers, and four sisters. Survivors include: Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 10, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Ray Hamilton and Rev. Roger Hensley. Burial will follow at Elkin Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home.
