Aleine Ingram Day

May 7, 1930 — April 7, 2005

Jonesville Mrs. Aleine Ingram Day, beloved wife, mother and nanny, age 74, of Bethel Road, passed away Thursday, April 07, 2005 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital and is now at peace with Jesus. Mrs. Day was a Pharmacist Assistant at Bridge Street Pharmacy for many years and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she was a member of WMU and Sunday School Teacher for several years. She was also a past member of Jonesville Women's Club and G.A. Director. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include: her husband, Jack Gray Day of the home; a son, Mark G. Day of the home, a daughter, Amy Day Royall of Jonesville; six grandchildren, Kellen G. Day of Newport News, Va; Halle Day of Iredell Co.; Joseph Royall, John Royall, Maggie Royall and Ellie Royall all of Jonesville. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church by Dr. Steve Fowler. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church.
