Hodges Funeral Home, Inc. Elkin, NC Elkin Rosemble Jolley Gentry, age 80, of Austin Traphill Road, passed away Saturday January 19, 2008 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Gentry was born in Wilkes County, June 23, 1927 to Reece and Estelle Rose Jolley. Mrs. Gentry retired from Chatham Manufacturing and was a member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Aldean Gentry and a brother, Osee Jolley. Survivors include: Johnny Tucker of Ronda. A sister, Georgia Transou and husband Frank of Elkin. Two brothers, Robert Jolley and wife Havalyn of Elkin and Benny Jolley and wife Betty Jo of State Road. A sister in law: Violet Jolley of Winston Salem. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday January 21, 2008 at 2 pm at Pleasant Home Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 pm at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Pleasant Home Baptist Church.
