Elkin Mrs. Alma Odessa Cleary Pardue, age 63, of C.C. Camp Road, passed away Friday, August 13, 2004 at Hugh Chatham Nursing Ceneter. Mrs. Pardue was born August 14, 1940 in Iredell County to Doulphus Ray & Beatrice Revis Cleary. Mrs. Pardue was of the Baptist faith. She worked at Washington Mills in Dobson and later for Bloomer Wear of Elkin and has been disabled to work for several years now. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Barney "Skinny" Ancel Pardue. Survivors include: Daughter, Molly Gay Lawson and husband Ken of Elkin; two brothers, George Cleary and wife Treva of Courtney, Dwight Cleary of Yadkinville; two sisters, Irene James of Yadkinville, Mary Anderson and husband Eugene of Lexington; two grandchildren, Christopher Johnson of Hays, Lauren Giles and husband Barry of Yadkinville; one great grandchild, Ashton William Giles. Funeral services will be held Monday, August, 16, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Stewert Roten and Rev. James Burchette. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. The family would like to express many thanks to the kind and caring doctors and staff on the 3rd floor of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital and to the staff of Hugh Chatham Nursing Center.
