Dexter Timothy Absher

October 27, 1946 — August 15, 2004

Florida Mr. Dexter Timothy Absher, age 57, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2004 at his residence. Mr. Absher was born October 27, 1946 in Surry County to Zeno H. & Maggie Jean Gentry Absher. Mr. Absher worked in construction and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Absher and Jimmy Absher; a sister, Sandra Absher. Survivors include: two aunts, Bonnie Brown of Jonesville and Bernice Jolly of Elkin; several cousins. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 19, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Guy Russell, Jr. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to go to Charity United Methodist Cemetery Fund, c/o Ruby Holcomb, 2497 Roaring Gap Church Road, Thurmond, NC 28683. Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin is serving the Absher family.
