Elkin Mr. Bobby Lindon Spicer, age 63, of Roaring Gap Church Road, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Spicer was born July 1, 1945 in Wilkes County to Garland & Elsie Tucker Spicer. Mr. Spicer was a farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Spicer and William "Bud" Spicer; two infant brothers, Larry Dale Spicer and Archie Max Spicer; a sister, Jennie Johnston. Survivors include: a son, Robert G. Spicer and wife Patsy of N. Wilkesboro; a daughter, Tammy S. Wiles and husband Bobby of Traphill; three sisters, Nelda Dezern, Lou Ella Spicer both of Elkin, Marlene Jolly and husband Billy of Ronda; three grandchildren, Chase Spicer, Bobby Wiles, Jr. and Lexus Wiles. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 31, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Mark Wood, Rev. Ronnie McMillian and Rev. Mike Reeves. Burial will follow at Knobbs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Friday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
