Dallas Southard

December 24, 1946 — October 26, 2006

State Road Mr. Dallas Southard, age 59, of Marshall Ridge Road, passed away Monday, October 23, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Southard was born December 24, 1946 in Surry County to Coolidge & Maxine Marshall Southard. Mr. Southard owned Dallas Southard Enterprises and was a veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a half brother, Danny Mitchell. Survivors include his mother, Maxine Marshall Mitchell of the home; a daughter, April Lucinda Southard of State Road; a brother, Ricky Mitchell of State Road; three sisters, Ann Pesante, of Boise, Idaho, Donna Collins of Ronda, Pat Boger of State Road. A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Mulberry Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery by Gerald Miller and Rev. Gary Tatum. Military Honors provided by the VFW honor guard Pilot Mountain Post 2019 and Mount Airy Post 2079. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt.
