Fannie Sue Robinson

July 27, 1919 — September 28, 2010

Mrs. Fannie Sue Harris Robinson, 91 of Elkin, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Robinson was born July 27, 1919 in Wilkes County to Thomas and Blanche Cooper Martin Harris. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Elkin, where she was a church hostess and was very active in Sunday school and WMU. Mrs. Robinson was also the Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Robinson; her daughter Jackie Sue Robinson; four brothers, Thomas Harris, Fred Harris, Charles Harris, and Donnie Harris; and a sister, Mary Lib Terrel. She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, October 1, 2010 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Elkin with Dr. Bill Johnson and Rev. Rebecca Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Elkin Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Elkin, PO Box 618 Elkin, NC 28621. The family wishes to thank the staff of Hugh Chatham Nursing Center, the members of First Baptist Church of Elkin, and the ICU staff of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital for all the loving care shown to Mrs. Robinson.
