Eunice Marie Ledbetter

Mrs. Eunice Marie Holcomb Ledbetter, age 90, of Byrd's Curve Road, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2006 at Yadkin Nursing Care Center. Mrs. Ledbetter was born May 22, 1916 in Wilkes County to Bina Bell Holcomb. Mrs. Ledbetter was a homemaker and was a member of Charity United Methodist Church. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, James McKinley Ledbetter, four brothers and two sisters. Survivors include: a son, Bill Holcomb and wife Norma Jean of Winston-Salem, a brother, Ralph Lyon of Bellingham, WA; four sisters, Stella Lyon of Chapel Hill, Lois Frock of Jarrettsville, MD, Shirley Wolfe of Forest Hills, MD, Barbara Franklin of Greenville, SC. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 27, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Charity United Methodist Church by Rev. Rex Cranfill. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Ledbetter will lie instate 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Charity United Methodist Church c/o Gimmie Key, 1797 Grange Road, Elkin, NC 28621.
