James Craig Huckabay

May 18, 1928 — April 22, 2007

Thurmond Mr. James Craig Huckabay, age 78, of US Hwy. 21, passed away, Sunday, April 22, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Huckabay was born May 18, 1928 in New Mexico to Craig & Katherine Huckabay. Mr. Huckabay was member of Welcome Valley Baptist Church and he was retired from the United States Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Huckabay. Survivors include: a son, David Huckabay of Virginia; three daughters, Veronica Reagan of Thurmond, Francisca Fuentes of Texas, Ana Garcia of Illinois; four grandchildren, Ashae Reagan, Nestor Hernandez, Shaun Huckabay and Christopher Huckabay; two great grandchildren, Junior Hernandez and Selena Hernandez. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at Welcome Valley Baptist Church by Rev. Bill Jenkins. Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin is serving the Huckabay family.
