Virginia Ruth Marsh

Elkin Mrs. Virginia Ruth Neaves Marsh, age 79 of Lyles Street, Elkin, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Marsh was born July 16, 1928 in Ashe County to Baxter & Lola Taylor Neaves. Mrs. Marsh was a homemaker and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. On February 16, 1946 she was married to Raymond Marsh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kathleen; a son, Glen Edward Eddie Marsh; two brothers, Robert Neaves and Wiley Neaves; three sisters, Blanch Hart, Ruby Barker and Mabel McMillan. Survivors include: two sons, Phil D. Marsh of Atlantic Beach, Robert M. Marsh of Morehead City; three daughters, Wanda Walker and husband Gerald of Jonesville, Geneva Davis and husband Roger of East Bend, Jennifer Martin of Elkin; a brother, Carl Neaves and wife Edna of Danville, Va.; a sister, Judy Miller and husband Frank of Millers Creek; eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church by Rev. Danny Dodds. Entombment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Pleasant Hill Drive, Elkin, NC 28621.
