Sarah Elizabeth Nance, image-bearer of God and treasure to her parents, went home to be with Jesus on December 26, 2006, the day of her birth. "He will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom" Isaiah 40:11. "Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies you have ordained praise" Matthew 21:16. "The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him" Nahum 1:7. Sarah Elizabeth is survived by her parents, Mantle and Sally Nance, and her brother, Jackson Nehemiah, of Newnan, GA, and by her grandfather Dallas Nance and his wife Priscilla of Clemmons, NC, her grandmother Suzanne Johnson and her husband David of Germanton, NC, and her grandparents Steve and Cindy Martin of Fayetteville, GA. She is also survived by her great-grandparents, George and Josephine Cook of Peachtree City, GA; her great-grandmother, Cherry Martin of Indianapolis, IN; her Uncle Matt and Aunt Kandi Martin, and cousins Emma Grace and Matthew Malachi, of Tyrone, GA; her Aunt Paula Nance of New York, NY; her Uncle David and Aunt Pamela Coleman, and cousins Chloe and Tessa, of Rolesville, NC; her dear Great-Aunt Melba of State Road, NC; as well as many other beloved family members and friends. A private family graveside service will be held at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in State Road, NC, with Rev. Steve Martin officiating. A public memorial service will be held Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 2:00 pm at the Elkin Presbyterian Church in Elkin, NC, with Rev. Hank Rast and Mr. Mantle Nance officiating. A time of food and fellowship is scheduled to follow the memorial service in the Elkin Presbyterian Church fellowship hall.
