East Bend Mr. Kurt Thomas Andrie, age 49, of Cherry Street Extension, East Bend, NC passed away Thursday April 17, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Andrie was born December 21, 1958 in Ravenna, Ohio to Doris Cunningham Andrie Petersham and Thomas J. Andrie. Mr. Andrie was a foreign automobile mechanic in the Akron, Ohio area and Winston Salem, NC. He was a past member of United Church of Christ in Ravenna, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his step father Miska F. Petersham. Survivors include: His mother, Doris C. Petersham of Elkin. His father, T.J. Andrie of Ravenna, Ohio. A sister, Leigh A. Freeman of Elkin. A nephew, Will Freeman of Cullowhee, NC. Two nieces, Nicole M. Freeman of Elkin and Hannah Freeman of Lexington, Kentucky. The family will have a private memorial service for Mr. Andrie. The family request that any memorials to Kurt be sent to the local Diabetes Free Clinic Foundation in Winston Salem, NC.
