Floyd C. "Clint" Legitt 86 former St. Maries and Santa, ID resident died Sept. 14, 2011 at Clarkston, WA. He was born June 11, 1925 to Fred and Gladys McCowan Legitt at Pueblo, Colorado. He grew up at Long Beach, CA. He graduated there from Wilson High School with the class of 1942. He then enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during WWII. He was discharged in 1945 and returned to California. He married Catherine Crockett on April 18, 1947 at Long Beach. He was recalled to active duty with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and served from 1951 to 1953. Following his discharged, he returned to Long Beach and went to work for an oil refinery before going to work for a glass installation company. Clint was educated in all aspects of glass manufacturing, glazing, designing and installing for home's, businesses and automobiles. He moved to Mt. Shasta, CA in the 1970's and worked in a glass installation business there before moving to St. Maries in 1977. He started St. Maries Glass and operated the business until he retired in 1990. He and Cathy made their home at Santa, ID for over 30 years. He has resided in Clarkston, WA for the past 10 years. He enjoyed horses and horseback riding. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was skilled at engraving gun stocks. Clint was a member of St. Maries Masonic Lodge # 63 AF & AM and the Scottish Rite Bodies of Coeur d' Alene. He was a former member of Calam Shrine Temple of Lewiston. Clint is survived by his wife Cathy of Clarkston, WA. His daughter Linda Allman of Santa, ID and Sister Freddie Balentine of California. He is also survived by 2 grandsons and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son Don Legitt. His final resting place will be at Riverside Cemetery, Santa, ID .
