George Andrew Hart, Jr

Huntersville Mr. George Andrew Hart, Jr., age 67, of Kane Alexander Drive, Huntersville, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. Mr. Hart was born December 18, 1940 in Wilkes County to George Andrew & Cleo Mayberry Hart, Sr. George was a veteran of the United States Navy and was employed by Lowe's Companies He was a member of Elkin First United Methodist Church and Elkin Masonic Lodge 454. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: his wife, Nancye Hart of the home; a son, Wilson Thompson of Hagertstown, MD; three daughters, Nancye Thompson of Rich Creek, Va., Michelle Thompson of Raleigh, Amanda Reed of Elkin; a sister, Mary Frances Peete of Durham; four grandchildren, Isaiah and Taya Thompson, Jordan and Owen Reed. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Chuck Baker. Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
