N. Wilkesboro Mr. Johnny Dean Crabb, age 51, of Rest Home Road, passed away Monday, November 29, 2004 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Crabb was born May 2, 1953 in Surry County to Will & Bessie Crabb Spicer. Mr. Crabb was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his adopted parents, Barney & Pearl Crabb; three brothers. Survivors include: six brothers, Vaughn Crabb of High Point, Howard Spicer of State Road, Lee Spicer of North Wilkesboro, James Spicer of Elkin, Billy Spicer of Elkin, Michael Spicer of Kannapolis; six sisters, Rosa Lee Johnson, Virginia Ashburn, Ruby Crouse all of State Road, Ruth Ham of Grassy Creek, Frances Bennett of Glade Valley, Bertie Stroud of Lincolnton. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 2, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Finley McCoury and Rev. Charlie Bennett. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin and at other times at the home of Rosa Lee Johnson 1309 Mining School Road, State Road, NC 28676. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church.
