Esther Pinnix Reece

Elkin Mrs. Esther Pinnix Reece, age 91, of Johnson Ridge Road, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at Hugh Chatham Nursing Center. Mrs. Reece was born May 22, 1916 in Yadkin County to John D. & Kate Swaim Pinnix. Mrs. Reece was a member of Arlington First Baptist Church and was retired from Chatham Manufacturing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Reece. Survivors include: a daughter, Petrice Edwards and husband Russell of Ronda; a sister, Margie Brannon of Hamptonville; two grandchildren, Amber Transou and Bryan Edwards, two great grandchildren, Cassidy Transou and Solana Transou. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 6, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jerry Fugate. Entombment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
