Ronda Mrs. Katy Evans Sale, age 53, of Elkin Hwy. 268, Ronda, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Sale was born March 4, 1951 in Surry County to L.B. & Susie Mathis Murray. Mrs. Sale was owner of River Bend Vineyard and was a member of Maple Springs United Methodist Church where she served as the church clerk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Sale. Survivors include: her loving dogs, Smith and Susie; a sister, Nancy Patterson and husband Dale of Statesville; two nieces, Falon Church of Statesville, Ann Partin of Elkin; a nephew Waylon Partin of Elkin; a sister-in-law, Susan Partin and husband Jack of Elkin. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 23, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Maple Springs United Methodist Church by Rev. Rex Cranfill. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall following the service. Mrs. Sale will lie instate 30 minutes prior to the service at the church and Friday from 3-5 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Maple Springs United Methodist Church or to the Humane Society of Wilkes County. Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin is serving the Sale family.
