Betty Lou Ozark 70 long time St. Maries and Santa resident, died April 9, 2011 at Coeur d' Alene, ID. She was born March 15, 1941 to Clarence and Elsie Newton Brown at Wynot, NB. She grew up at Glasgow, MT and graduated from High School there with the class of 1959. She married Michael "Bud" Ozark on Sept. 2, 1960 at Glasgow, where they made their home. She worked as a telephone operator and grocery clerk for Buttrey's Grocery Store there.. She moved to Libby, MT in 1968 where she was a homemaker. The following year, the family moved to St. Maries and then to Santa, ID in 1974. Besides raising her family, she worked at the Santa Tavern, Santa Cedar Mill and the Midway Cafe in St. Maries. She went to work for the St. Maries Golf Course Resturant in the early 1980's. She worked there for 20 years. She and her husband retired in 2003. He husband died 3 months ago. Betty enjoyed bowling, swimming, socializing and shopping. She is survived by her son Michael Ozark of St. Maries, her daughter Kelly Jensen of St. Maries and daughters and son's-in-law Lisa and J.J. Michael of St. Maries and Jackie and Charlie Grieser of Hayden, ID. Also surviving are her sister Mildred "Tiny" Nevin of Coeur d' Alene, ID , 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son J. D. Ozark in 1993 and son-in-law Mike Jensen in 2010 as well as brothers Robert, Richard and Darrell Brown and sister Donna Castle. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday April 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. At the Comm. Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Gary Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery with a reception to be held back in the church's fellowship hall. Pallbearers will be J.J.
