Debby Ann Waddell

Elkin Mrs. Debby Ann Waddell, age 47, of Northwood Drive, passed away Monday, October 11, 2004 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center after a brief illness. Mrs. Waddell was born February 6, 1957 in Surry County to Jack & Claris Sparks Howell. Mrs. Waddell was employed by Fill-N-The Gap Restaurant and was a member of Maple Springs United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of East Wilkes High School and Catawba and Surry Community College. Survivors include: her husband, Barton Lee Waddell of N. Wilkesboro; a daughter, Bartie LeAnne Waddell of N. Wilkesboro; her father and mother, Jack & Claris Sparks Howell of Ronda; a half-sister, Cathy Lynn Jarrett of Burlington; a paternal grandmother, Vallie Howell of Ronda; and numerous extended family. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 14, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Maple Springs United Methodist Church by Rev. Rex Cranfill. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to The Gideon Memorial Bible Chairman, PO Box 95, Elkin, NC 28621. Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin is serving the Waddell family.
