Beulah Carter Loper

Beulah Carter Loper, 87 of State Road passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Loper was born March 22, 1923 in Wilkes County to McCager Franklin and Sarah Creed Carter. She was a member of The Church of God of Jonesville, and retired from Lucia. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Loper was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Everette Loper, Jr.; brothers, Garvey Carter, Odell Carter, Gill Carter, and Grady Carter; and sisters, Marie Darnell, Ethel Wishon, Stella Carter, and Flora Carter. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Casstevens & husband Dwight of State Road; a brother, Russell Carter & wife Penny of Elkin; three grandchildren, Sarah Abigail Casstevens, Joel Wayne Casstevens & wife Barbara, and Jamie Daren Casstevens & wife Alicia, all of State Road; five great grandchildren, Jonathan, Shania, Loretta, Nathaniel, and Jacob. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Calvary Full Gospel Church at 2:00 pm with Rev. Harvey Casstevens and Rev. Aubrey Casstevens officiating. Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Elkin Funeral Service. The family wishes to thank Dr. Faulk and nurse Pam for all their love and care for Mrs. Loper.
