Ann Wood Swaim

June 21, 1930 — November 10, 2004

Jonesville, Mrs. Ann Wood Swaim, age 74, of Park Circle Drive, passed away Sunday November 7, 2004 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Swaim was born June 21, 1930 in Forsyth County to Rev. Romulus Brantley and Verlin Nevassie Eldridge Wood. Mrs. Swaim was a member of Jonesville First United Methodist Church and was Past President of the Jonesville Women's Club. Mrs. Swaim was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend and sole mate. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and many friends. In addition to her parents Mrs. Swaim was preceded in death by a brother Gwyn Eldridge. Survivors include: Her husband, Lindbergh Swaim of the home. Two sons and daughters-in-law, Barry Swaim and wife Lois Haynes Swaim of Jonesville, Danny "Boone" Swaim and friend Norma Ritchie of Elkin. A daughter and son-in-law, Tenia Swain Vestal and husband Bobby of Jonesville. Six grandchildren, Stephanie Phillips and husband Jamie, Jenny Swaim, Crystal Swaim, Danielle Swaim, Amanda Vestal, Timmy Vestal. A brother and sister-in-law, Albert Wood and wife Ellen of Asheboro, Frances and Russell Vestal of Winston Salem. An aunt, Grace Durie of Winston Salem. Two nieces and two nephews. Funeral service will be held Tuesday November 9, 2004 at 11 am at Jonesville First United Methodist Church by Rev. Joe Fulk and Rev. Cynthia Arnold. Burial will follow in Sunrise Cemetery. Mrs. Swaim will lie instate thirty minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends Monday from 7-9 pm at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Jonesville First United Methodist Church. Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin is serving the Swaim family.
