Thomas William Pardue

Hamptonville Thomas William Pardue, age 83, of Pea Ridge Pass, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Pardue was born June 20, 1922 in Wilkes County to Martin & Julie Brannon Pardue. Mr. Pardue was a faithful member of Union Baptist Church; he loved and enjoyed his time with his friends at the "Fellowship Hall". He retired from Bounet and was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce where he served during WWII. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Armstrong Pardue, two sisters, Edith Bell and Polly Pruitt. Survivors include: his wife, Fuchsia P. Pardue of the home; a daughter, Hilda P. Holcomb and husband Timothy of Hamptonville; two brothers, Arvil Pardue and wife Jenny, Joe Pardue and wife Mildred all of Ronda; two sisters, Florence Pardue and husband Kermit of Hamptonville, Kate Somers and husband Ted of Ronda; two grandchildren, Chip Church and Jason Church; two step grandchildren, Alicia Chappell and husband Damon, Bradley Holcomb; two great grandchildren, Taylor Church, Morgan Church; one step great grandchild, Madeline Chappell. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 24, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Union Baptist Church in Hamptonville by Rev. Kenny Pardue and Rev. Russ Nixon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Union Baptist Church in Hamptonville. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Union Hill Baptist Church General Fund.
