Mr. James Franklin Cantrell age 58, of Ronda passed away Saturday April 1, 2006 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Cantrell was born April 5, 1947 in Dudley Missouri to Louie A. and Patricia Bowers Cantrell. Mr. Cantrell served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, Mr. Cantrell was employed by Dewitt Construction Company, and a member of Healing Waters First Assembly and also a member of Veterans Of Foreign Wars, Post 10346 Yadkin County. Mr. Cantrell is survived by one son, Jay Cantrell of Michigan, three daughters, Shawn Guy and Lori James both of Florida, and Tracy Cantrell of Michigan. Two brothers, David Cantrell and Laurence Cantrell both of Michigan and four sisters; Thelma Crane, Alma Davis and Alice Adams all of Michigan and Delma Hege of Ronda. Two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Cantrell will be held Tuesday April 4, 2006 at Healing Waters First Assembly at 11.00 am. by Rev George Hege. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Full military honors will be accorded at the graveside by members of Veterans Of Foreign Wars, Post 10346 Yadkin County . The family will receive friends Monday evening April 3, 2006 from 7-9 pm at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
