Jonesville Mrs. Arlene Cox Rongyos, age 95, of Vestal Ave., formerly of Weavers Ford Road, Grassy Creek, NC, passed away Tuesday, July 01, 2008. Mrs. Rongyos was born May 6, 1913 in Ashe County to W.E. & Lavie Garris Cox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Rongyos, a half sister, Ina Ramsey; three sisters, Deborah Cox, Delta Palmer, Eloise Reedy; a brother, Conly Cox. Survivors include: a daughter, Marie Harris and husband Jimmie of Jonesville; a sister, Marie Hall of Baltimore, MD; two grandchildren, Rick Harris and wife Jami, Bill Harris and wife Jenny; three great grandchildren, Kaily Amber Harris, Michael Lane Harris and James Michael Harris. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Rex Cranfill. Burial will follow at Kirk-Cox Family Cemetery in Grassy Creek. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service Friday from 10:30-11:00 a.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. After the graveside service the family will receive friends at Mrs. Rongyos' home, 692 Weaver's Ford Road, Grassy Creek, NC at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt.
