Elkin Mrs. Roxie "Mozelle" Marsh Osborne, age 84, of Boxer Lane, passed away after a brief illness at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born March 27, 1920 in Surry County to James Virgil & Rosetta Key Marsh. Mrs. Osborne finished high school at Copeland High and worked in the clothing/apparel industry, primarily at Hanes Hosiery in Winston-Salem and finally at Salem Sportswear/Lucia, Inc. in Elkin from which she retired in 1996. She was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Jonesville, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, Carl Wilson Osborne; three brothers, Gaston Marsh, Ralph Marsh and Gilliam Marsh; three sisters, Miss Annie Marsh, Mrs. Bertie Badgett and Mrs. Maybelle Lawrence. Survivors include: her daughter, Ms. Nancy Osborne of Elkin; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Draughn of Mt. Airy and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 21, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Jonesville by Rev. Johnny Blevins and Rev. Richard Cardwell. Burial will follow at Grassy Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Osborne will lie instate 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive family and friends Saturday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin is serving the Osborne family.
