Elkin Mrs. Lizzie Swaim Creed, age 87, of Johnson Ridge Road, passed away Friday, September 16, 2005 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Creed was born November 5, 1917 in Wilkes County to Tom & Martha Collins Swaim. Mrs. Creed was owner of Green Leaf Nursery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers. Survivors include: her husband, Daniel Bartley Creed of the home; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 18, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bobby Norman. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday one hour prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
