Kathleen Morrison Gentry

October 6, 1922 — February 5, 2006

Elkin Mrs. Kathleen Morrison Gentry, age 83, of Austin Traphill Road, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2006 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Gentry was born October 6, 1922 in Wilkes County to Tyre & Ida Gilliam Morrison. Kathleen retired from Chatham Manufacturing in 1986 and after her retirement, she worked at Hampton Inn in Jonesville. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include: three sons, Rick Gentry and wife Deborah of Chicago, Ill., Allen Gentry and wife Pam of Winston-Salem, Mike Gentry of Elkin; one granddaughter, Stephanie Gentry. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Stewart Roten. Burial will follow at Shoaly Branch Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care 1326 N. Main Street, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
