Sarah Virginia Sparks

January 4, 1933 — December 27, 2004

Traphill Mrs. Sarah Virginia Sparks, age 71, of Twin Locust Road, passed away Monday, December 27, 2004 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Sparks was born January 4, 1933 in Kathleen, Fla. to Robert P. & Edith M. Goodman Hampton. Mrs. Sparks was a member of the Baptist faith and devoted most of her life to the care of others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Roger Sparks; a son, Robert J. Myers; a brother, James Frank Hampton; a sister, Edith Merle Estelle. Survivors include: a son, Timothy I. Myers and wife Sharon of Winter Haven, Fla.; a sister, Myrtle A. Bryant of Leesburg, Fla.; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 30, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Roaring River Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Harry Hensley. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
