Mabel Finney Pardue

Mrs. Mabel Valie Finney Pardue, 95 of Jonesville, passed away Friday, June 11, 2010 at Hugh Chatham Nursing Center. Mrs. Pardue was born May 1, 1915 in Wilkes County to Floyd and Eva Money Finney. She operated Pardue Grocery for 30 years and worked at Elkin Furniture Factory. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pardue was preceded in death by her husband Roy Pardue; two daughters Mildred Lloyd and Kathleen Johnson; and a son David Pardue. She is survived by a son, Glen Finney of Jacksonville, FL. two daughters, Ethel Draughn and husband Jerry of Jonesville, and Kathryn Owen and husband Ronnie of Statesville; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 4:00 pm at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Jerry Pardue officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
