State Road Mr. Justin Dwayne Osborne, age 16, of Mining School Road, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2007. Mr. Osborne was born January 27, 1991 in Surry County to Ronald Dwayne & Shannon Couch Osborne. Mr. Osborne was a student at East Wilkes High School where he was a member of the Madrigals, Tennis Team, Key Club and Tar Heel Club. Justin was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. Survivors include: his father and mother, Dwayne & Shannon Osborne of the home; two brothers, Cory Osborne and Landon Osborne; maternal grandparents, Lanny & Betty Couch of Elkin; Paternal Grandparents, DeWitt & Edith Osborne of Elkin; Aunts & Uncles, Michael & Rusty Osborne, Jesse & Debbie Stamper, Stephen & Kim King, Phillip & Margaret Spicer. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 1, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church by Rev. Finley McCoury and Roger Cook. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church Youth Fund, Mining School Road, State Road, NC 28676.
