Graham Palmer Blackburn

August 31, 1947 — January 8, 2005

Morganton Mr. Graham Palmer Blackburn, age 57, of NC Hwy. 126, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2005 at his residence. Mr. Blackburn was born August 31, 1947 in Surry County to Clay & Luna Cheek Blackburn. Graham was a member of Elkin First Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was retired from Chatham Manufacturing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mickey Blackburn; a niece; two step nieces and a sister-in-law. He is survived by a nephew Michael Blackburn of Jonesville A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel at 6:00 p.m. by Dr. Bill Johnson. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the donor's choice.
