Frances Jester Vanhoy

State Road Frances W. Jester Vanhoy, age 82, of Ebenezer Church Road, passed away Friday August 17, 2007 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Vanhoy was born January 15, 1925 in Surry County to Llewellyn and Mary Haynes Wilkins. Mrs. Vanhoy retired from Hanes Hosiery and was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Junior Jester, her second husband Graham Vanhoy, a grandson Ryan Jester and a brother Jack Wilkins. Survivors include; Two sons and daughters-in-law, Sam Jester and wife Elizabeth of Elkin, Gary Jester and wife Cheryl of East Bend. Three daughters and sons-in-law, Gladys Rhodes and husband Cliff of Yadkinville, Lula Holleman and husband Charles of Hamptonville, Regina Gentry and husband Ranny of Lewisville. Seven grandchildren and spouses, Travis Rhodes and wife Joanna, Paige McCann and husband Martin, Christy Brown and husband Scott, Dana Chambers and husband Aaron, Russell Gentry, Renea Burgess and husband Josh, Michael Jester. Seven great grandchildren, Brooke, Dawson, Peyton, and Gavin Rhodes, Mara McCann, Chasity and Chase Brown. Funeral services will be held Sunday August 19, 2007 at 3pm at Mineral Springs Baptist Church by Rev. Richard Cardwell. Burial will follow in Fall Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30pm at the church prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Kate B.
