Traphill Mr. Edmond Eugene Byrd, age 66, of Shepherds X Roads, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2005 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Byrd was born February 24, 1939 in Dover Delaware to Troy & Emma Prevette Byrd. Mr. Byrd was member of the Seven Day Advent in Traphill and was retired from Thom McCann Shoe in Wilkesboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Brenda Sue Byrd. Survivors include his wife, Donna Zell Combs Byrd of the Home; a brother, Roger Byrd and his wife Gail of Wilkesboro. A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Round Hill Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Ivan Dameron. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Round Hill Baptist Church.
