State Road Mr. Jody Lee Ellis Helton, age 36, of Old Hwy. 21, State Road, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2006 as a result of an automobile accident. Mr. Helton was born August 15, 2006 in Radford, Va. to James Walter & Mary Ellis Helton. Mr. Helton was a mechanic. He was preceded in death by a sister Angela Wyatt. Survivors include: his Father and Mother, James Walter & Mary Ellis Helton of the home; a daughter, Megan Helton of Boonville; two brothers, Jimmy Helton and wife Bobbi of Boonville, Brian Helton and wife Ashley of East Bend. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 13, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. John Attaway. The family will receive family Saturday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, State Road, NC 28676.
