Roaring River Mr. Billie Olen Billings, age 71, of Greenhorn Road, passed away Thursday, October 05, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Billings was born March 11, 1935 in Wilkes County to Dallas & Lessie Cothren Billings. Mr. Billings was retired from the Furniture Industry and was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Billings. Survivors include: five sisters, Ruby Cheek, Bonnie Bauguess, Mozelle Woodruff all of Roaring River, Emmie Billings of Mocksville, Annie Dyer of Millers Creek. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Rachel Baptist Church by Rev. Leon Mikles. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. Mr. Billings will lie instate 30 minutes prior to the service.
