Jacksonville, Fla. Mrs. Vera Davis McBride, age 80 of Jacksonville, Fla. passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital. Mrs. McBride was born July 10, 1924 in Conway, SC to Nelson Nathaniel & Getha Gaster Davis. Survivors include: her husband, George McBride; two daughters, Jerri McBride Berrong and Debra McBride Shelton; a sister, Faye Davis, a brother, Nelson Davis; three grandchildren, Kenneth Berrong, Kathryn Berrong, and Branden Elise Shelton. A graveside service will be held Sunday, May 8, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. at Ronda City Cemetery by Rev. Darrell Williams. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
