Wilkesboro Mrs. Ruby Elizabeth Wagoner, age 87, of Fletcher Street, passed away, Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Wagoner was born September 27, 1919 in Wilkes County to James Bradford & Mamie Love Luffman. Mrs. Wagoner was a member of Little Elkin Baptist Church and was retired from Hugh Chatham Nursing Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carmel Wagoner. Survivors include: a son, Monroe Wagoner and wife Mary Ann of Elkin; a daughter, Betty Wagoner Finney and husband Desmond of Jonesville; two brothers, David Luffman and wife Peggy, J.B. Luffman and wife Bennie all of Ronda; two sisters, Vadie Money and husband Arlon of Elkin, Pansy Byrd and husband Mack of Ronda; six grandchildren, Matthew Wagoner and wife Maggie, Christal Wagoner, James Wagoner, Charlene Wagoner, Allison Wagoner and Sarah Wagoner; two great grandchildren, Hannah Wagoner and Abigail Wagoner. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 11, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Hagan McClellan and David Luffman. Burial will follow at Little Elkin Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
