Jonesville Mrs. Geneva Maidlee "Eva" Washington Hagler, age 92, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2005 at her residence. Mrs. Hagler was born February 10, 1913 in Bristol Va. to James & Nellie Washington. Mrs. Hagler was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Nebo Unity Holy Church of God, Inc. where she was the general mother and she was co-founder of Unity Church of God, Inc. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bishop R.L. Hagler, a daughter, Mary Geneva Hagler Manns, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include: four sons, Rossalee Hagler, Jr. and wife Janet of Glade Springs, Va., James Alfred Hagler, Michael Washington Hagler and wife Gracie, Zealous Halger and wife Rosanna all of Jonesville; seven daughters, Naomi H. Whittington of Walnut Cove, Dorothy H. Bryant and Husband Bishop R.C. of Jonesville, Margaret H. Denny and husband John of Winston-Salem; Linda H. Lackey and husband William of Taylorsville; Chrystobel H. Parsons and husband Hayden of Walnut Cove,, Vanessa H. Gomillion and husband Ambrose of Elkin; Ruby H. Houser and husband Jimmy of Jonesville; special granddaughters, Mickey King and Sabrina Long of Jonesville; special grandson, Scottie Hagler of N. Dakota; forty-seven grandchildren; eighty-nine great grandchildren; sixteen great-great grandchildren; a special niece, Ann Jackson of Morganton; a special friend Barbara Thomas of Jonesville and a devoted cousin, Lucille Robinson of Jonesville. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 3, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Nebo Unity Holy Church of God, Inc. by Bishop R.C. Bryant and Bishop William Goins. Mrs. Hagler will lie instate 30 minutes prior to the service.
