Rose Emma Bauguess

December 24, 1930 — March 5, 2008

State Road Mrs. Rose Emma Hanes Bauguess, age 77, of Old Hwy. 21, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Bauguess was born December 24, 1930 in Wilkes County to Ernest & Eula Wood Hanes. Mrs. Bauguess was retired from Salem Plant and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Windell Hanes. Survivors include: her husband R.L. Bauguess of the home; her mother, Eula Wood Hanes of State Road; two brothers, Roger Hanes of Alleghany County; Bobby Lee Hanes of State Road; a sister, Ateree Hanes Evans of Hamptonville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church by Rev. Kenny Wood and Rev. Finley McCoury. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church, 199 Mining School Road, State Road, NC 28676.
