Eulah Lee Hanes

November 27, 1913 — July 4, 2008

State Road Mrs. Eulah Lee Hanes, age 94, of Old Hwy 21, passed away Friday July 4, 2008 at Elkin Health Care. Mrs. Hanes was born November 27, 1913 in Surry County to John and Flossie Cook Wood. Mrs. Hanes was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Graham Hanes, a daughter Rose Emma Bauguess, a son Windell Hanes, a daughter in law, Betty F. Hanes, two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include; Two sons and daughter in law, Bobby L. Hanes of State Road and Roger Hanes and wife Kathy of Glade Valley. A daughter and son in law, Ateree Evans and husband Davis of Hamptonville. A son in law, R.L. Bauguess of State Road. A daughter in law, Betty Lou Hanes of State Road. A sister, Lorene Wood Chappel of Jonesville. Nine Grandchildren and Nine Great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday July 7, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Pleasant View Baptist Church by Rev. Kenny Wood and Rev. Finley McCoury. Burial will follow at Old State Road Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Hanes will lie instate thirty minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 pm at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
