State Road Mrs. Lottie Mae Hemric Swift, age 69, of Noah Hayes Road, passed away, Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Kindred Care of Greensboro. To know her was to love her, to live with her was a gift from God. Mrs. Swift was born February 25, 1938 in Surry County to James Henry and Vergie Eva Bryant Hemric. Mrs. Swift was a retired CNA from Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital, and a homemaker and was a member of Grassy Creek United Methodist Church. She was a loving Christian wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and steadfast friend. She was also a member of the North Carolina Co-operative Homemakers and the Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital Ladies' Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Hemric. Survivors include: Her husband, Willard of the home; 2 sons: Johnny Swift and wife Susan of Davidson; Josh Swift and wife Amanda of State Road; one daughter: Tina Viane and husband Gary of Murfreesboro, TN. A brother: Walter R. Hemric of Elkin. Three grandchildren: Savannah, Madison and Taylor. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Grassy Creek United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jim Prichard. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday at Hodges Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Grassy Creek UMC Building Fund. 145 Klondike Rd.
