Garry Dillon Money

November 4, 1969 — December 9, 2006

Elkin Mr. Garry Dillon Money, age 37, lost a courageous battle with cancer but, won the war of life Saturday December 9, 2006 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem. Mr. Money was born in Surry County November 4, 1969 to John Dillon " Butch" and Irene Anderson Money. Mr. Money was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church and was employed by Wishon Carter. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by an infant brother. Survivors include his wife, Nada Spicer Money of the home, two sons Johnathon Money and Brandon Underwood both of the home, his mother, Irene Money Harpe and step father Ralph of Elkin, one brother David Money of Elkin, his maternal grandmother Iva Anderson of Elkin, two step sisters Deborah Harpe of Wilmington NC and Allison Doumani of Las Vegas NV and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Money will held Tuesday December 12, 2006 at Maple Springs Baptist Church at 2pm conducted by Dr. Larry Macemore, and Rev. Randy Johnson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Money will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7-9pm at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. Flowers will be accepted or memorials maybe made to Kate B.
