Rosamond Hill Wood

May 5, 1903 — January 3, 2005

Jonesville Mrs. Rosamond Bryant Hill Wood, age 101, passed away peacefully at her home Monday, January 3, 2005 in the presence of her family. Mrs. Wood was born May 5, 1903 in Forsyth County to Joseph & Cassie Anne Barton Bryant. Mrs. Wood was a homemaker, gardener, avid reader, and a cherished mother and grandmother. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ellen Bryant and Grace Bauguess. Survivors include: two sons, Joseph B. Hill and wife Edith of Eden; Alfred D. Hill and wife Bessie of Jonesville; two daughters, Elizabeth Burchette and husband Jimmy of Julian; Jane Triplett and husband Jimmy of Ronda; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jack Cook. Burial will follow at Old Fashion Gospel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to donor's choice. The family would like to express their gratitude to Yadkin Valley Home Health and Dr. Evan Ballard.
