Eva Little Walters

July 28, 1925 — May 31, 2004

Elkin Mrs. Eva Little Walters, age78, of Brookwood Drive, passed away Monday, May 31, 2004 at her residence. Mrs. Walters was born July 28, 1925 in Halifax County, Virginia to W.P. and Gracie Daulton Little. Mrs. Walters was retired from Chatham Manufacturing and was a member of Elkin Valley Baptist Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include: her husband, George "Bill" Walters of the home; a daughter, Mahala Huffman and Husband Arthur of Elkin; grandchildren, Haley Huffman of Orlando, Fla., Kristen Huffman of Chapel Hill; brother-in-law, Henry Walters and wife Shirley of Elkin; sister-in-law, Myrtle Newman of Elkin. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Elkin Valley Baptist Church by Rev. Johnny Blevins and Rev. Charles Lethcoe. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorials Gardens. Mrs. Walters will lie instate 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Elkin Valley Baptist Church Building Fund. Hodges Funeral Home is serving the Walters family.
